The Dutch designer, Ineke Hans, produced a series of three water / beer jugs for Krehky. Being of identical shape, their sizes vary by precisely 13 %, which is how a porcelain object shrinks when fired. “It is in fact a kind of a matryoshka game. The largest jug is the Mother,” the author explains. “Porcelain as a material represents a great challenge for me. It does not only fascinate me by its qualities but also by the fact that one can never bamboozle it: you must constantly use your hands. It will take pretty long before the 3D methods replace it.” The jug can also serve as a vase. Mama Jug M is the medium variant of the object.
