Maxim Velčovský

The conceptual approach, storytelling, shifting of meanings, and experimentation have become a distinguishing feature of Maxim Velčovský's work. For Křehký he has designed Vase of Vases (2008), which is a tribute to the famous vases of the past; Snow Vase (2013), where snow meets water, and Cabinet of Stories (2011). Unique pieces which are highly acclaimed by Maxim's collectors appear on a regular basis in the Křehký Gallery. In addition to the Křehký brand, you can also find his work in the Qubus collection, or in the Mint Gallery in London. Currently, Maxim Velčovský is the head of the Ceramic Studio at the Prague Academy of Arts, Architecture and Design and also the art director of the Czech lighting manufacturer Lasvit.
